Aoshima was originally established in 1924 as an airplane research institute and in 1929 began manufacturing wooden model kits utilizing knowledge and experience from airplane operations then in 1961 Aoshima Bunka Kyozai Inc was established manufacturing plastic model kits growing ever since being known for quality among modellers around the world.
