In Windmill Valley, based on the Flower Route game, you and up to three players become tulip growers and entrepreneurs, constructing and upgrading mills, searching for new tulip bulbs, and gaining an edge through the use of helpers and lucrative contracts. It is the end of the 19th century and the Dutch landscape is dotted with more than 9,000 windmills. Some are specially built to keep the low-lying areas, the polders, dry. In the polders between these mills, there are fields full of colourful tulips. The tulip once played an important role during the turbulent history of the first financial bubble (tulip mania), but has now become an essential part of the Dutch landscape, especially along the famous Flower Route.
