Airfix North American P-51D Mustang Starter Set

The North American P-51D Mustang was considered to be the best version of this iconic aircraft, featuring valuable upgrades to its already successful design. These upgrades included a spacious bubble canopy for improved pilot visibility, a highly effective K-14 gunsight, increased firepower, enhancements to the ammunition feed system to prevent jamming, and the option for lightweight external fuel tanks to increase the fighter's range. The Mustang played a crucial role in helping the Allies achieve victory in Europe, having the most air-to-air combat victories of any USAAF fighter in the European Theatre.
