Bolt Action Type 4 HO-RO Assault Gun
Bolt Action Type 4 HO-RO Assault Gun
The Type 4 Ho-Ro assault gun, inspired by German self-propelled guns, is built on a sturdy Type 97 Chi-Ha tank chassis. Its primary weapon is the Type 38 150mm howitzer, protected by 25mm of armour plating. However, the exposed rear of the gun leaves the crew vulnerable to close combat and shrapnel. The powerful 150mm gun primarily fires Type 88 APHE rounds, but it can also launch HEAT shells. Ammunition is conveniently stored in a container on the rear engine deck. Despite being rushed into service towards the end of World War II, the Ho-Ro proved its worth in the Philippines Campaign and during the American assault on Okinawa, where it faced overwhelming numbers of US artillery. This set includes a plastic, resin, and metal Ho-Ro assault gun, a Bolt Action stat card, vehicle damage markers, a full-colour decal sheet, and Bolt Action Order dice.
