CHonda CX500 Turbo - Tamiya 1/12 Model Kit
The Honda CX500 made its grand debut at the 1980 IFMA trade show in Cologne, Germany, making waves as the world's first turbocharged production motorcycle. This revolutionary bike featured a liquid-cooled V-twin engine with a turbo unit developed in collaboration with IHI (Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries). Coupled with Honda's advanced fuel injection system, this 500cc engine boasted an impressive 82hp. The CX500 also boasted advanced features such as a wind tunnel-tested cowling, Pro-Link rear suspension, and 4-step adjustable front suspension to prevent nosedives. Its modern design and impressive power solidified the CX500 as one of the most ground-breaking motorcycles of all time.
