The F/A-18 Hornet is a versatile fighter/bomber that is modern and efficient. Its advanced electronics allow it to excel in both air superiority and night bombing missions. Currently in service with the U.S. Navy, Marines, and allied forces, it has rapidly replaced older aircraft such as the F-4 and A-7. During the Gulf War, the F/A-18 flew numerous successful sorties against Iraq.
