Russian Line Infantry 1809-1814 - Black Powder
Russian Line Infantry 1809-1814 - Black Powder
The Russian soldier, moulded by harsh conditions, was known for being tenacious, resilient, and unwavering. They played crucial roles in the pivotal conflicts of the Napoleonic Wars against the French and their allies. The pinnacle of their bravery was displayed at the battle of Borodino, where they fearlessly carried out their duties, often with just the bayonet. This boxed set enables you to create a sizable battalion of Russian soldiers, distinguished by their traditional Russian shako. Despite being replaced by the kiwer shako in 1812, many regiments continued to wear this iconic headgear until the end of the Napoleonic Wars. With two head options included, you can assemble your unit as musketeers, grenadiers, or a mixture of both. Constructing the models is effortless, with only three pieces (body, head, and backpack with sword), making it easy to quickly form your force and deploy it on the tabletop.
