The kit captures the form of the compact 38(t), specifically the Ausf.E/F variants used around the time of Operation Barbarossa. The tracks are designed to not only recreate the tank's form in style but also capture the upper run 'sag' succinctly. The fenders are loaded with stowage boxes, jerry cans, and more, adding to the model's realism.
About the Panzerkampfwagen 38(t): After the annexation of Czechoslovakia by Nazi Germany in 1939, German forces were intrigued by the Czech LTvz38 light tank. They adopted it under the designation 38(t), a light tank with riveted and welded armour, and a 3.7cm gun. Early production 38(t)s participated in the early German offensives of World War II, and with 1,400 units produced, the tank underwent continued development. The Ausf.E and F variants featured additional armour for better survivability and were deployed during the early stages of Operation Barbarossa as Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union.
